Gingerbread man dough

These were for my uncle's girls. they were filled with candy & rolled up dough (money). The gingerbread man was cut with the cricket, attached googly eyes & stickles for the icing I then put adhesive on the back of the paper & stuck it down to sandwich size ziploc bags. Voila!  The poem came from Tresa a CTMH consultant. Thanks Tresa. I know it's hard to read so this is what it says: 

Gingerbread men with yummy icing,

Are oh so good & extremely enticing,

I set out to make you a dozen or two,

But time ran out so now what to do.

So instead of the cookies, I tied with a bow,

Your own personal serving of holiday dough!

Christmas tags

A friend of mine asked me if I could create 150 tags for the homeless gift exchange that she is in charge of at our church. This is what I came up with. My kids & I had so much fun doing these. It doesn't show up to well in the pic but these have stickles on them & bling to make them sparkle.  I think I'm going to do a tag workshop before Christmas.

Mummyfied

We made these for our kids teachers. Very simple & easy. Take a clean veggie or soup can, take off label put a line of liquid glass down the back of the can. Wrap with crape paper a few times then glue some googly eyes on with liquid glass & draw a mouth with a marker. Put a cellophane bag inside the can put candy in it tie off with a Halloween ribbon & wala! you have mummy.....

Treat Boxes for teachers

I had fun doing these. It was my first time trying this so the first one I made didn't come out very well, but I kept going & I think the rest came out cute. I didn't want anything to scary being they are for my kindergarten & 4th teachers. I bought the coffins at Michael's, I took off the latch painted the wooden boxes when they were dry I used versa mark & embossing powder. I the colored the frankenstein & bat which is the one open with ink & a blendy pen. For the circle I cut out a circle, then embossed, inked the bat put glue & glitter. I also stamped an image on the inside. I then cut out strips of black cardstock then punched with bats to use as a border, put back on the hinges & wala! a cut little coffin. These will be filled with candy to give to the teachers.

Halloween Card for Home Gathering

I used our Sept. sotm Thriller. I love this stamp set. I also used the new hooligans paper pack, gypsy cardstock, black cardstock, glue pen & glitter. To get the scalloped edges on the black paper take your ctmh corner rounder, take of the guard & turn upside down & punch. the layout is from originals card book heartfelt classic pg 71. I also used pigment ink in white to stamp happy hauntings.

School Papers

Ok if you are like me I put my kids important reminders on the fridge, spelling, memory verse, reading log, lunch, etc. I think you get the picture. Now with 2 kids in school & both coming home with stuff I was running out of room on my fridge. So...........I came up with this. I used an expandable folder, pieces of scrap paper, cricut alphabet & walla! Now I can store their paper that needs to go back to school at the end of the week & the important things in one place without covering my fridge. LOL!!!

Magnifique WOTG Class

this is the life!

This my other boy he was found at 9 weeks old in a grocery parking lot. I told you guys I"m a sucker.  He has overcome alot. He survived parvo, red mange, not being run over & now he is just an allergy dog. The wind blows on him & he starts to itch but he's my baby!!

Monster Party Card

Hey Hey, boy I have been in a card making mood here lately. Ok I'll give you a little glimpse this is one of our new stamp sets in our new catalog that goes live Sept. 1 for customers. The pattern of the card is the Just Because workshop in the Wishes card technique book. I made 10 of these for a card swap on Aug. 14.

Supplies: black embossing powder & versamark, watercolor pencil & water pen, party animal stamp set, ink pads: twilight, taffy, tulip, floss, googly eyes (i luv googly eyes) cricut cartridge celebrations, pop dots, liquid glass. First follow the instructions in Wishes on cutting paper, then distress the edges with a sponge dauber with the inks, stamp & heat emboss your monster before gluing it to the card, cut paper with cricut to make banners & then stamp the white paper with any stamp you like. Put pop dots on the back of the flags & then glue floss with liquid glass. Glue paper to card & then googly eyes with liquid glass & walla! you have a cute little monster party card. I was cleaning house today & just had to take a break & do some crafty things. I made these for a few of my ladies that are having birthdays coming up.

Our trip to NY to see Lady Liberty. the lo is from our cherish book, paper pack home sweet home, the flowers were stamped & cut on my cuddle bug with a die I got from the creating keepsake convention. I used our new glitz glitter glue on the ends of the flowers. I stippled brush the circle dimension with cranberry & star spangled blue for the stamped pattern.

My birthday

My best friend made me a very special card & handmade jewelry for my birthday. A necklace, bracelet & earrings & I had to show it off. She did an awesome job on it. She makes jewelry & loves to scrapbook too. Thanks so much Irma. You really spoil me. And I don't know how she new to make it blue to match my shirt. LOL!!!

Haunted House

I created this after seeing Jennifer house at the crop on Saturday. I thought well I can do this too especially being Halloween is my favorite time. I bought the house at hobby lobby & the pumpkins were in the doll section,I painted the corners of the house with black paint that would show then I cut the paper to fit on the house & glued it down with modge podge matte once dry I decorated it. I put a electric candle inside for the flickering light without the burning of a real candle. It took me about 2 hrs being it was my first time trying this & all the cutting. I have a bigger one to do. I'm going to make a spooky village.

CK Scrapbook Convention

Hello Everyone,

It's Friday July 16 & I went to the scrapbook convention today at the Westin Galleria with a friend (Linda) & we had a blast. We were only going to stay a few hours but ended up staying 7 1/2 hrs. LOL. There was so much to see & play with. I did buy some embellishments & sizzix nestabiltiies & found the dollar store of all dollar stores for scrapbooking. OMG! We had lunch at Chili's & then back to the convention. Yeah!!! Thanks Linda for the great time & can't wait till next year. I hope many of you can come with us next year? It's a blast!!! I am now getting ready for Kaitlyn's crop for tomorrow. I will post my layouts asap.

Clear Cards

Our new clear cards made with our July stamp of the month & our new zippidee paper. I first stamped the image, to give it the water color look I used our water color pencils & water pen to blend. I used our new glitter glue to outline the scallops of the card. I cut him out & used 3d pop ups to give him dimension. this card was created using Wishes card making book.Isn't he just too cute.

Close to my Heart Convention

Our convention is going on right now in Washington D.C. It is an awesome experience with knowledge, make & takes & new items. As always I can't wait to see what Jeannette has in store for us. Also I can't wait to see where convention next year will be. Does anyone want to take a guess? I'll give you a hint. It's in West & it's a lot of fun! Any ideas yet? The stat starts with C. Can't wait to go on this trip.

Pre-K layout

My son's pre-k class. Layout was created using School Zone Level 2 paper (retired), My acrylix Posterboard stamp set. The layout is from our Reflections layout book Bottom Border. We make it simple, faster & easier to scrapbook.

Birthday rolodex

I used a standard rolodex from the office store. All products are close to my heart. I used the Grace paper pack, coordinating ribbon, stamps, brads, flowers & embellishments. Each page has the month & each is different from the other.
